Pennsylvania man faces DUI after eluding police

Based on preliminary investigation, police were called to his home shortly after 7 p.m. by a family member that asserted that he left the home in a vehicle after allegedly drinking alcohol.

Soon after, the man was observed making a left turn without signaling, and an officer attempted to pull him over. Authorities claim that he failed to stop for the officer until he reached the driveway of his home. Police told the man to remain in his vehicle; however they reported that he ignored their requests. According to police, they detected the odor of alcohol on his breath during this exchange.

It was alleged that the man then opened the door of his vehicle, ignored the officer telling him to stop and proceeded to enter his home. Reportedly, the man yelled at officers and the family members inside of the home. He then allegedly shoved an officer and put up both fists and verbally asked to fight while resisting arrest. Eventually, an officer had to use a Taser to subdue him. He was then charged with drunk driving, eluding police, resisting arrest and a traffic offense.
